A Welcome and what you can expect over the next 6 months.

Welcome to Mole Hill Designs. This post will detail the current projects that we currently have underway and a brief description of what to expect from each and the reason for the project having been started.

Currently we are creating assets in Collectable Card Games (CCGs), Miniature Games and Roleplaying Games (RPGs).

If you have any requests or queries about any aspect of the following projects please feel free to email molehilldesigns@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Collectable Card Games:

The DDR:CCG: a collectable card game based around playing the popular bemani game Dance Dance Revolution. Take control of your team of Dancers and attempt to win 3 songs before your opponent does. Created by request from DDR:UK.

DefCon CCG: a collectable card game where you take the position of the leader of a superpower and attempt to defeat the opposing superpowers in either a Military, Economic or Political victory. Created as an exersize to test rule complexity in card games.

Warfare CCG: a collectable card game which simulates small units engaging in military action against each other. The Training/Era/Faction System (or T/E/F System) allows units from across history and fantasy to engage each other on a level playing field. Created as an exersize to test templating and game balance across a diverse area.

The AniCom: a collectable card game where you take control of a Club or Society within a university and attempt to become the best Club or Society you can. With deal mechanics and several deck building options and victory conditions this game offers a good level of complexity and great multiplayer games. Created by request for the University of Teesside Animation and Comics Society.

Miniatures Design:

Journeyman: A small scale skirmish game using the Warmachine rules and miniatures created by Privateer Press http://www.privateerpress.com allowing players to take control of a fledgling warcaster alined with one of the 5 major factions (Cryx, Cygnar, Khador, Menoth and Mercenaries) and try to make a name for themselves by carving out a domain on the recently discovered island of Tetler's Island and it's supposed vast mineral wealth. Using an experience and renown system for campaigns that will allow players to create custom warbands and mould them over time. Created by request from the Bedworth Wargaming Club.

MiniFight: A rules and miniatures light game which will allow players to control famous fictional characters as they face off against each other. Using the BDR system to control attacks allows a greater degree of tactics even though the game only requires 3d6, two miniatures and their stat cards to play. The current face off sets in the design stages are:

Goku Vs Vegeta: Control the two powerhouses of the Dragonball Z world as they attempt to finally settle who is the most powerful.

Sagat Vs Ryu: A classic matchup between two evenly matched opponents. Which is stronger? Tiger or Dragon?

Mario Vs King Koopa: Mario and Koopa have the throwdown that people have been clamouring for ever since the NES. Can the plucky plumber from brooklyn defeat the King of all lizards?

Link Vs Gannondorf: Once again good and even face off to decide the fate of the triforce but this time there's no Navi to annoy you.

Megaman Vs Bass: The blue bomber against his evil doppleganger. Movement and correct use of weapons will decide the outcome of this match more than anything.

Created by request from members of Middlebrough Games Club.

Adeptus Arbites 5th Edition Update: Allowing players to field a full army of the Adeptus Arbies in the latest edition of Warhammer 40,000 by Games Workshop. The Adeptus Arbites are often the first line of defence during a planetary uprising or attack, they serve as the judicial and police arm of the Imperium and often it is up to them to hold back the marauding forces of the enemy before help can arrive. Update to previous armylist created by myself.

Roleplaying Games Design:

Alasham, the Last City: A campaign setting for Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition by Wizards of the Coast. The City of Alasham is all that remains of the civilised world ever since The Great Suffering thousands of years ago. Through the grace of He Who Is Above All water springs from the ground here and only here. The rest of the world has become an abandoned and arid desert and all the peoples of the world now dwell within Alasham. Every morning the priests of He Who Is Above All give out water to the faithful and your place in society determines how much water you are given. An organisation of Guilded people have decided that this corrupt regieme cannot carry on and have decided to gain power to change society for their own ends.

This world will allow players to explore the vast city of Alasham and its massive Undercity and head off out into the wilderness to uncover the secrets that lay buried beneath the sands. For DMs it allows you to use a fully realised city and political web along with adventure hooks and encounters for the desert wilderness outside. Created as an online available campaign resource and setting.

DragonSlayers Modules: Do your players want to go down a dungeon and kill a dragon? Well it is kinda written on the book's cover so at some point it should really be done. The DragonSlayers series of modules will offer exactly that from level 1 all the way to level 30, that's 1,000,000 Xp worth of giant angry lizards, from the smallest Dragonling to the greatest of Ancient Wyrms it's all here. Each module will be 1 level worth of Xp in draconic form in every colour of the rainbow. Created as an online resource for DMs to use.

Aetherstone: A series of 3 books detailing the world of Aethir, a world covered by water where people live on flying islands kept aloft by the Aetherstone in them. Aetherships use this stone to fly between the islands and the oceans below. This will be a complete setting comprising of 3 books; the Players Guide, the Campaign Guide and the Adventure Resources Book.

The Players Guide details everything a player will need to know to take part in games set on Aethir from the new races and classes available to them to a guide to the world and it's troubles.

The Campaign Guide will provide GMs with a full background and guide to the world of Aethir with the intention of allowing them to create a fun and exciting game which allows for fantastic immersion for their players. Detailing topics such as Politcal Maps, Coinage and Commerce, Maps of the World, Pantheons and Religions and delving into the secrets of Aethir. Also included is the introductory adventure "Give Me a Fast Ship and a Star to Guide Her By." which will allow players to quickly establish themselves in the world and give them the resources to begin adventuring.

The Adventure Resources Book details hooks and encounters that can be used and also lists a menagerie of monsters for you to challenge your players with and information for converting Aetherstone content to be used with other campaign worlds.
